As a chartered RIBA architect, Stephen Evans is qualified to act as a party wall surveyor in connection with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996.
The Act is applicable to small and large scale residential and commercial projects and can effect those wishing to undertake works to their property or those whose adjoining owners are undertaking works to theirs.
The Act is enabling and conciliatory in nature. It provides a legal framework for those wishing to develop their property to notify and agree the extent and method of undertaking works that may effect their adjoining owners. As a party wall surveyor Stephen Evans is able to advise clients on their responsibilities in connection with the Act and prepare and issue notices on their behalf; and agree awards between adjoining owners. He is also able to act for adjoining owners who have been served with notices by their neighbours who wish to undertake works and as agreed surveyor to act impartially and fairly for both parties effected by the Act.
Stephen Evans has successfully worked with owners to agree party wall matters on many projects throughout the London area and in particular in connection with basement extensions to residential developments.
Further information on the Act and its implications can be found by following the link below or alternatively, please call Stephen Evans on the contact details provided for a free consultation.
