Since 2010, the North London practice of Stephen Evans Architects has gained extensive experience in small- to medium-sized architectural projects encompassing private and developer residential, retail and commercial schemes.

Recent work

Maiden Lane – Working with the developer client and their planning, daylight and line of sight consultants, to modify and implement an existing consent to develop a tight and sensitive urban site within the Covent Garden Conservation Area. Incorporating restaurant and general licensed retail to lower floors with residential and penthouse apartments to upper levels.

 Queens Gate Gardens – Complete refurbishment and extension of ground floor flat within Grade II Listed property, working in conjunction with specialist daylight consultant to maximise the development potential of the site without effecting the neighbouring residents. The existing single bedroom unit was reconfigured and expanded to accommodate the client’s growing family whilst maintaining and enhancing the historic character of the property.

The practice is able to take an idea from inception to detailed design development, tendering and through to contract administration, and project completion. Partial architect’s services can also be provided to suit the bespoke needs of clients to reflect their individual project and budget requirements.

The practice has an established network of subsidiary service providers and consultants including structural engineers, quantity surveyors, media / IT specialists and lighting consultants and is able to team up with these at implementation stage to ensure the often complex modern construction project is fully developed and coordinated.

The practice comprises Stephen Evans and Stuart Parry who have a combined architectural experience of more than 30 years, and are ideally placed to provide a professional yet cost effective service suitable for both commercial and residential clients. In support of this and while maintaining Stephen Evans as the principal consultant and first point of client contact the practice has developed long-standing collaborations with other architects in the UK and abroad in order to facilitate varying workloads and individual project requirements.
